Field Service Engineer - West Coast USA

We are seeking a customer focused and technically motivated Field Service Engineer, responsible for the installation and training of our Cell Metric range of highly advanced systems, located at research establishments, laboratories, hospitals and healthcare centres in the US and around the world.

The Role

We are seeking a customer focused and technically motivated Field Service Engineer, responsible for the installation and training of our Cell Metric range of highly advanced systems, located at research establishments, laboratories, hospitals and healthcare centres in the US and around the world. This role will involve travel across West Coast USA.  After full and comprehensive industry training, you will become a product and technical support specialist on some of the most sophisticated life sciences devices in the field.

Requirements

US West Coast based

Mechanical, electrical and software experience in a life science context

  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving of instrument and customer issues
  • Calibration, repair, maintenance of various lab instrumentation
  • Customer support via e-mail and telephone.  Documentation for all service work performed
  • Understanding of electro-mechanical instrumentation used in Life Sciences
  • Self-management of work load, appointments, planning and customer requirements
  • Instrument service (calibration, repair, troubleshooting, maintenance) or similar work
  • Basic electronics, soldering, use of related hand tools, calibration and test equipment
  • Diagnose and fix instrument issues (bad sensor, loose wire, etc.)
  • Ability to lift 45lbs.
