We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Applications Scientist based on the West Coast, to join our small but growing US Sales and Support Team, working for the US Subsidiary of an award-winning UK Company.
We’re looking for an experienced Field Applications Scientist with practical experience in Mammalian Cell Line Development for Therapeutic applications, to work collaboratively as part of our Global Sales & Support Team on the development of application notes and demonstration strategies.
The successful applicant will have excellent problem-solving skills, coupled with strong presentation and communication skills and the ability to clearly convey information and deliver informative, engaging sales and technical demonstrations to potential and existing customers. You’ll have experience of using databases to maximum effect and providing day-to-day applications support to customers.
You’ll need to be highly organised, with experience of working remotely and the ability to plan and effectively manage your own workload, achieving excellent standards of customer service and successfully meeting agreed SLAs and deadlines. Although able and happy to work independently, you’ll also be a strong team player with a proactive and adaptable approach, and the ability to be flexible with your hours to enable you to work collaboratively with your UK based colleagues as needed, as well as those State-side.
This role will involve extensive travel (up to 70% time), so you’ll not only need to be in a position to comfortably meet this requirement, and stay away overnight if needed, but will also need a valid US drivers’ licence and passport, and access to your own, reliable vehicle suitable for business use.
