GEN publishes Bioprocess Tech Note on Solentim Cell Metric
Paradigm Shift for Cell Line Development
NEWS – Bournemouth, UK – 5th January 2016: Solentim are pleased to announce the publication in “Genetic Engineering News” (GEN) of a technical note co-authored with scientists at SAFC in the US.
The article, published in the Jan 1, 2016 (Vol 36, No.1) issue of GEN, is entitled “Paradigm Shift for Cell Line Development – increasing workflow productivity and assuring clonality for IND and BLA submissions to regulators.”
The article explains how the facets of the Cell Metric imager have enabled the traditional cell line development workflow to be re-defined such that time is only spent looking back at the image history of the top subset of clones which were proven to be good growers and producers. This is coupled to an undisputable single cell image on Day 0 which is provided as part of the documentation package for the regulator.
SAFC further explain how the Cell Metric has been specifically implemented in their own process and the resultant increased throughput and workflow benefits they have experienced.
