Solentim are Recruiting | Commissioning Technician

Based in Wimborne Dorset, Solentim is a UK-based manufacturer of equipment and technologies used in pharmaceutical and biotech industries worldwide.

As a result of continued growth, we are now looking to recruit a Full Time Commissioning Technician for our busy Production Department.

Producing innovative biopharmaceutical instruments, the successful individual will play a key role in commissioning instruments and PCs ready for final PDI; trouble-shooting and problem-solving instrument faults and ensuring these are properly documented.

You’ll need at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role such as a Test and Commissioning Technician or Service Engineer, and a relevant degree in an electromechanical field; coupled with comprehensive experience of working with electromechanical systems, including motors, drives and control systems; and communications protocols such as Ethernet, EtherCAT, RS232 and RS485.

We’re looking for someone who has experience of working within a quality-driven environment (such as ISO: 9000 or similar), with excellent hand-eye coordination and an eye for detail, together with accurate record-keeping ability and strong organisational and time management skills. You’ll be proficient at reading technical drawings and wiring schematics, with crimping, soldering and harnessing skills.

If this sounds like the kind of role you’re looking for, and you’d like to join an award-winning, rapidly growing company and play a pivotal role in our closely-knit team, then we’d love to hear from you.
